It in truth does fit a 3g iPhone but it is a tight fit. It does look like there’s a bit of air space among the back of iPhone and case but that’s fine. The case is slim, and doesn’t add bulkiness nor does it hide the good form of the phone. The material provides a nice rubbery grip to the phone without the tackiness of silicon cases. Although it provides plentiful shelter on the back and around the sides, this is not the type of case you’d want to get if you want maximum, drop-proof protection.

This is the type of case that you’d get if you are worried the phone might get scratches while in your pocket or purse. It is better than going caseless or those slip cases where you need to slide the unit out to use it. The vendor also provided a screen protector and a body film to further add to scratch protection.

The only bummer is with the case on; portions of it feel very cheaply made. There are a number of neat little notches and cuts in order to have openings for the respective buttons. However, with regards to half of mine feel exceedingly rough/sharp, like the cutting mechanism they used wasn’t outstanding and the phone doesn’t fit onto my charging base, but the case goes off and on in truth easily, so that’s not a big factor.

Overall, I’d highly commend this case. It’s lasted for closely a year and it still protects most of the phone. It has a nice soft feel, and helps prevent the phone from sliding out of your hand and on to the floor. It’s in truth a hard case and gives great shelter the phone. Anyway, give it a try, it won’t disappoint you.

Does most of the job, but not perfect

If you’re looking for something to solely protect the back of your iPhone, this case isn’t bad. But this case alone isn’t sufficient to totally protect your phone – you’ll need a screen protector too.

Pros:
* The grip feel on this case is great. When in your hands, you may quickly type away on the phone with no slippage at all
* I have the silver one; it mixes perfectly into the phone and looks like there’s not one thing there
* Complete availability to all of the buttons/features on the phone
* Coupled with a screen protector, your phone is gorgeous immune to scratching

Cons:
* This case does NOT fit all the way around the phone – just most of the way. As a result, it does not one thing to protect the face of the phone. I’m not proposing it would protect it from scratches. However, since the case does not come all the way around to the face, if you place your phone upside down the screen will touch whatsoever surface you have it on. This evidently works well for typing, so it’s just a warning.

Scratches the heck out of the silver bezel

I’ve had this case for over 2 months now. Where the edge of it meets the silver bezel of the iphone it leaves hundreds of scratches over time. I don’t commend this product if suppose it to protect the appearance. These scratches are not visible with the case on. Take it off and it just looks terrible.

Best accessory – works on Bose SoundDock

This is very rigid but seems like it’s not there. The sides have a little friction in them making it more comfortable to hold and not slip out of your hand – but I’m not saying it is rough or slick. It is the best accessory for one who travels each day in the car. And this fits in my Bose SoundDock at home – sufficient said.
